Cinnamon Buns and Sunrises

I've been taking a picture of myself at the exact moment the sun comes up every day.
This is where I was on Thursday, post run.

The time Butter destroyed my cake at 5:30 am.
The moment of the sun on Friday, walking the dog.
The moment the sun came up Saturday.
This is when we talk about the perfect cinnamon bun.
The recipe is a simplified version on Joy the Baker's.
Made with instant yeast instead of dry active.
They didn't taste yeasty at all, which mine often do.
I didn't roll the cream cheese into them, thats far too much work.
I only added walnuts to the filling. No raisins or pecans.
The frosting was cream cheese instead of buttermilk.
I rested them in the fridge overnight and let them proof from chilled for 2.5 hours.
I realized after they didn't need a second rise.  Try without next time?
Perfect, seriously perfect.
My new recipe.
Shane and I joined our friends Kevin and Kim for some mushroom hunting.
Unfortunately due to the glorious lack of rain the past three months there were very few to be had.
Luckily Kim, the mushroom whisperer, found enough for us to have an omelette.
They were so delicious.
Three sets of paws on our walk yesterday.
